JWS Custom Decks LLC takes pride in the fact that we only take on one project at a time. If your energy is spread to different projects, it can only hurt the quality of service that you are giving. JWS is a contractor that cares more about his clients than that. Since Covid, we have had to occasionally split time due to massive shortages that held projects up, but generally speaking, we like to only work on one project at a time.

Whether the space is an extention of your home, or an outdoor space such as a farmer's porch or deck, we listen to what your needs and wants are.
Construction can be very scary for homeowners. It is our job to make it less scary and more exciting. Making sure the project gets done in a timely fashion is a key ingredient. Also, being there to go over anything you may have questions about is another.
We want your contracting experience to be a great experience! We want you to have exactly what you want! As a contractor that has been in business for over 25 years, and has over 35 years of building experience, JWS Custom Decks LLC has seen and done a lot of contracting! The personal experience that you have with us will be unmatched. We are fair in our pricing and try to accommodate our clients every wish and then some! You can rely on the decades of experience to see you through to your dream becoming a reality!
Below you will find tips on picking the right contractor for you. These are just some guidelines to protect yourself and the biggest investment of your life. Whether you choose to hire our company or not, we hope that you will at least take a moment and jot down some of these suggestions.
#1 Ask for references. Be sure to call the references. Also, ask if you can go to see the work yourself. Most people will allow this and it will give you further information.
#2 Ask the references about the communication on their project. Were they able to find out information readily?
#3 Be sure to ask for a payment schedule. Most reputable companies will not ask for money up front until the project begins unless they are providing blueprints. For bigger projects, it is usually 1/3 after lumber is delivered or begin of project, 1/3 after a certain portion of the job is completed, and 1/3 at completion. For smaller projects it is usually 1/2 at lumber delivery and 1/2 at completion. This protects you and the contractor. Be sure to stick to the payment schedule. No matter what the reasons.
#4 Be sure to have a written contract outling all work to be done. Again, this protects you and the contractor.
